Senior Financial Accountant required for High Growth US owned business based in Manchester. My client has an excellent reputation and has gone through a period of impressive results. We are now looking for a Senior Financial Accountant, ideally with a large practice background as this excellent business looks to continue on its growth journey. Reporting to the European FC this person will be responsible for much of the monthly accounting functions and general ledger close - including account reconciliations, journal entries, variance analysis and reporting. In addition, this individual will be responsible for tax, VAT and governmental reporting requirements for multiple subsidiaries as well as assisting in audits and annual account production - using local GAAP accounting standards - both in the UK and abroad.

Key Responsibilities:
- Leading month-end management accounting process, with associated analysis, insight and reporting.
- Attendance at monthly Exec meetings to discuss performance and analysis
- Assist with the monthly general ledger close for multiple subsidiaries
- Preparation and submission of adjusting journal entries for assigned areas
- Ensuring assigned accounts are properly reconciled each month, along with supporting variance analysis and explanations where applicable
- Completing more complex accounting tasks including software capitalisation
- Creating tax returns
- Other ad-hoc responsibilities as assigned
- Collaborate with and provide advice to cross functional teams (FP&A, Marketing, Engineering etc) in order to build scalable, efficient processes; drive improvements in policies, processes and system.
- Serve as point of contact & subject matter expert on a variety of Accounting related issues; including local GAAP, taxation and other compliance items
- Liaison with tax advisors for completion of annual tax computations/returns
