Reinsurance Finance Manager

An opportunity for an experienced Reinsurance Finance Manager has arisen to join a market leading, London Market Insurance business based in The City with opportunity for significant home working.

Reporting to a Director, you will be responsible for all of the financial and operational requirements of reinsurance contracts in London. You will be required to manage the administration of all contracts and collections etc. and report regularly to the market. You will also be responsible for the setup of the of the annual reinsurance forecasting models, as well as providing insight into the business planning, forecasting, and reserving processes.

You will require a strong understanding of reinsurance contracts and reinsurance accounting in general

Key Responsibilities:

• Ownership and management of the payments and collections from the reinsurance team
• Build relationships to ensure effective data to multiple, senior stakeholders to tight deadlines
• Lead the relationship of Finance functions across the Group to influence improvements to the Reinsurance models
• Lead the business planning of the Reinsurance elements of the planning process
• Managing implementation of IFRS17 from a Reinsurance perspective

Person Requirements:                   

• Significant experience within Reinsurance finance within the London Insurance
• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc)
• Excellent business partnering skills,
• Advanced Excel and, in general, strong IT & system skills
• Ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure.
