A permanent Financial Accountant job paying up to £45k for a reputable business based in Worcester.

Your new company
Hays Senior Finance are excited to be supporting a superb multinational business in Worcester with the recruitment of a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis.

Now operating as part of a large global Group, our client are one of the world's most respected engineering and project management consultancies.

Your new role
Due to an internal promotion, this newly created role will see you support the UK Financial Controller across a number of key accounting areas.

Main duties:

• Preparation of management accounts and analysing variances
• Preparation of budget and forecast information
• Journal preparation and reconciliation of IFRS16 lease accounting entries
• Calculation of monthly internal autotrading commitments
• Maintain intercompany loans and issue monthly loan summary
• Review and enter exchange rates and project rates
• Assist with the quarterly intercompany reconciliation process for multiple overseas entities
• Assist with the preparation of annual corporation tax packs for 15 statutory companies
• Preparation of analysis and reports for various internal departments
• Analysis and submission of transactions for parent company
• Ad hoc projects and tasks

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) - finalists may be considered providing relevant experience can be demonstrated
• Experience working in a large, group-based setting (desirable)
• Strong technical accounting skills
• Sound analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to communicate and influence at all levels
• Ability to work to deadlines and take responsibility for the timely completion of tasks
• Strong Excel skills including the use and set up of Pivot Tables, LookUps and formulas
• Good working knowledge of JD Edwards (desirable)
