Treasury Assistant / Property Cashier - Commercial Real Estate. OUR CLIENT, is an established commercial property advisory firm who have been operating within the UK markets for well over 30 years. Their client base consists of some well-known global real estate investment firms. They are now looking for someone to join their property accounting team as a Treasury Assistant / Property Cashier.

THE ROLE will include the following duties:

  • Ensuring all receipts are banked and posted on a timely basis using cash management.
  • Being responsible for preparing the 'unallocated cash report' and making sure it is issued on a weekly basis.
  • Following up on any queries and updating the comments as well as liaising with Property Accountants regarding unallocated items.
  • Performing daily bank reconciliations on a couple of client accounts and month end reconciliations for all other accounts.
  • Handling all cashiering queries including allocation, cash and transfer queries.
  • Processing payments on the banking system including obtaining signatures for approval.
  • Corresponding with the bank to include opening and closing of bank accounts.
  • Maintaining the deposit accounts commercial and residential.
  • Being responsible for the system maintenance including set up of period accounts, banking rules, chart codes.

THE PERSON to apply will have experience of working as a Cashier within an established property accounting / treasury team for at least 3 - 5 years. It will be helpful if they have gained this experience from another property management firm or firm of Surveyors where they have experience of dealing with multiple clients. The incumbent must have good attention to detail, be team player and be able to work well as part of a team. It is essential the successful candidate will have experience of a property management system such as TRAMPS, QUBE, YARDI or similar.
