We are delighted to be supporting the search for a Group Financial Reporting Manager to join a leading healthcare organisation on a 12-18 month FTC based in their head office in Reading. Your new role

  • Day-to-day management of a team of 2 finance professionals
  • Responsible for the delivery of interim and year end reports for the Group
  • Ownership for the successful delivery of the statutory financial statements subsidiary companies (there are approximately 34 subsidiary companies consisting of operating, holding, property and equipment leasing companies). Preparation of the main trading company statutory financial statements
  • Ownership of the month end consolidation and reporting process
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations and other financial data to ensure successful execution of balance sheet control processes
  • Key point of contact with external auditors for audit of both Group and Statutory reporting
  • Support the Head of Financial Accounting and Control with implementation of the updated Control Framework, reflecting updated processes and policies
  • Oversight of the embedding of new accounting standards and associated controls, such as IFRS 16
  • Oversight of VAT and other regulatory returns (PSA and ONS)


What you'll need to succeed

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant
  • Strong experience in Consolidation and Intercompany Management
  • Experience of statutory / legal entity reporting
  • Detailed knowledge of current accounting standards
  • Experience in people management, either as a line manager or team leader
  • Experience in a Listed Group, taxation and SAP accounting system is beneficial
  • Experience in US SOX and controls would be advantageous
