Your new firm
A three partner firm of Chartered Accountants based in Stockport City Centre are looking for a qualified accounts (ACA / ACCA) to join the firm as a Portfolio Manager and assist in managing a small team. This role has arisen due to an internal promotion and is a great job opportunity to manage your own portfolio. The partners will consider either a full time hours or 4 days a week.

Your new role
As a portfolio manager you will be report directly into one partner and work with them to manage a portfolio of clients. These clients will range in size and sector but will predominantly comprise of OMBs for which you will deliver year end accounting and tax services to. Other ad hoc duties will include cashflow forecasts and management accounts work. There are some juniors in the team to which you will be able to delegate and review some of the work. This is an autonomous role and you will be responsible for managing your own deadlines and workflow. This job opportunity can suit someone who is working 4 days a week or full time hours.

What you'll need to succeed
The partners are looking to appoint either an ACCA or ACA qualified accountant who has worked within general practice and has dealt with a broad client base.. They will also consider those who are qualified by experience. You must be competent in producing financial statements and corporation tax computations and liaising with clients to answer a range of general practice queries.

What you'll get in return
The firm are offering a highly competitive salary for this role of up to £42000 dependent on experience plus the option to work either full time or four days a week. Other benefits include a 35 hour working week, free parking nearby and 23 days holiday plus bank holidays.
