Cost Accountant

Elevation Accountancy & Finance are pleased to be working with a dynamic and progressive manufacturing business based in Halifax as they look to recruit an experienced Cost Accountant.

This is a brand-new position reporting to the Financial Controller and working with colleagues throughout the business and offers a great opportunity to develop and expand a financial career across all commercial functions. The successful candidate will join a growing, friendly and supportive team, as their new Cost Accountant taking full responsibility for the company's bespoke costings.

Duties & Responsibilities will include:

-Preparation of product costings and pricing
-Preparation of Periodic updates to reflect cost changes
-Preparation of Monthly Stock valuations
-Assist in the development of a new costing system
-Assist with management accounting preparation
-Assist the Financial Controller with various finance projects
-Producing P&L statements based on factory costing for each department
-Report on Machine efficiency Conduct regular stock-takes and valuations
-Conduct regular material and contract price comparisons
-Contribute to the overall completion of Annual Manufacturing Budgets

To be successful in this role you MUST have the following experience: -

-CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified or QBE accountant
-Experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
-Extensive data analysis experience and understanding of financials
-Strong excel and systems skills
-A strong understanding of stock and costing is essential
-System implementation would be beneficial
