Group Financial Accountant

Our client, a highly acquisitive leading PLC in the retail industry are currently searching for a Group Financial Accountant to join their Group Reporting team.

This position has been created due to internal promotion and will typically be responsible for assisting in the preparation of the Annual Report and Accounts for the Plc under IFRS, preparing of financial information for external announcements / presentations, consolidation of the Group budget balance sheet, acting as the key point of contact for external auditors -(including the preparation of full supporting files for audit) and commercial review of monthly input from other Group Companies.

This is a diverse and varied role which will enhance your technical expertise; also it will offer an introduction to more commercial aspects of finance to enable you to develop your career longer term within the Group.

This role would be suitable for someone newly qualified, however a particularly strong part qualified candidate may be considered providing you have a technical accounting background and thorough knowledge of IFRS/FRS102/UKGAAP. Working knowledge of IFRS 16 in particular would be useful in this position.
