Holden Jones is pleased to be working exclusively with our client operating within the entertainment sector as they seek to appoint a conscientious and hard-working individual to their small finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller your role will be mainly centered around managing the complex purchase ledger, but also covering sales ledger and credit control during holidays etc. Given the nature of the organisation the purchase ledger involves foreign currencies, application of many different VAT codes and project costing, so prior exposure to these areas is a distinct advantage. Other areas of responsibility include bank reconciliations, expenses, assisting with preparing audit scheduled and contract maintenance.
As an individual you will have excellent communication skills and be a pro-active individual. Attention to detail is very important given the complex nature of the ledger and the ability to learn new processes and systems quickly is vital. Strong Excel skills (VLookups/Pivot Tables) are required.
This is a newly created position in an organisation who are market leaders in a vibrant and fast-moving environment. As such you should demonstrate the skills to complement this. This is an office based role although after a qualifying period a small amount of home working will be considered.
