Equity CFO

My exclusive client, based in Manchester, is a market leading SME specialising in the B2B Fleet Management Rental, Asset Finance Leasing, Maintenance and end of lease Sale of Trucks and other related large vehicles. This highly successful owner managed business, currently t/o £30m and delivering £3m EBITDA, is poised at an exciting stage of its development and seeks PE investment in the short-medium term in order to provide the necessary funding to facilitate and maximise the company's ambitious strategic growth plans.

A high calibre FD/CFO is sought to strengthen the Board to play a key role in executing this growth strategy which is expected to deliver significant shareholder value on exit.

The brief:

• Operate as the "right hand" to the impressive highly entrepreneurial MD within an experienced Senior Management Team.
• Develop a first class robust Finance function to provide robust and timely financial and management information.
• Develop the overall business infrastructure in readiness for PE investment, ensuring optimal efficiency and synergy across all functions within the business.
• Prepare the Data Room/IM in conjunction with the appointed CF advisors and take a direct lead in Investor presentations and proactively manage the due diligence process in attracting and selecting the "right" PE investment partner.
• On PE investment being secured, to develop trusted ongoing relationships with the Investment Directors, as well as managing the other key professional relationships - Bank, Auditors, Tax, Legal and Professional Advisors.
• Work proactively with senior colleagues to explore and profitably execute exciting new business initiatives, including the ongoing procurement of new electric powered vehicles.
• Manage and grow consistent profit margin levels, including maximising the sale option price achieved at the end of the vehicle fixed lease period.
• Overall, to operate as a vital and influential key player to ensure the company achieves its exciting and challenging profitable growth strategy at each stage of its development through to eventual exit.

The successful candidate will be a high calibre, switched-on and driven FD/CFO with proven experience of influencing the profitable growth and development of a similar ambitious SME business.

Whilst not pre-requisite, previous proven successful "deal" experience operating in a PE backed company would be a distinct advantage and/or relevant previous sector related experience in a similar Product Leasing/Rental/Asset Finance/Sales company would also be beneficial.

This is an outstanding opportunity and my client offers an Executive level salary up to £130k plus Equity participation which is expected to deliver significant "seven figure" personal value to the CFO on successful exit.
