Procare is the GP Federation for Guildford and Waverley, representing 19 GP practices in Surrey Heartlands. We provide services at scale for our GP practices and Primary Care Networks; ranging from administrative and specialist support, to delivering GP out of hours appointments and community nursing, to a comprehensive Covid vaccination programme, which has administered over 200,000 vaccinations to our local population.  We are driven by a desire to continuously improve; building on best practice and collaborating with partners to ensure that we deliver the best possible care for the people we serve, whilst also making Procare a great organisation to work for.

We are now looking for an exceptional part-time (c 2-3 days a week) Chief Finance Officer to work with the new CEO and help to  shape the next stage of our evolution, lead the finance team and provide strategic financial leadership to Procare.  This includes advising the Board on all aspects of financial management, stewardship and governance, working with leadership and stakeholders to optimise funding, and working alongside our staff and customers to embed a finance business partner approach.

The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified Accountant with significant experience of working successfully at a senior finance level. S/he will be able to evidence the ability to build strong relationships across every level of an organisation and to influence decision-making and drive performance. Candidates will need to be self-motivated, flexible and enthusiastic with strong communication skills and high levels of emotional intelligence. NHS experience is not essential, but applicants will need to demonstrate a genuine commitment to the NHS and to Procare’s values.
