Your new company

Following an exciting period of growth, a leading accounting firm in Oxfordshire is looking for an Accounts Manager (ACA/ACCA qualified). The role will work closely with several directors, and the candidate will be responsible for building client relationships and the creation of working papers and accounts.

Your new role
Reporting to a Partner, your core responsibilities will include building long lasting client relationships developing and applying your technical and commercial knowledge. You will support several directors by managing a diverse portfolio of clients and often being their primary point of contact. You'll ensure assignments are completed to a high standard, on time and within budgets agreed with directors. You'll also be responsible for preparing and review working papers, statutory accounts and management accounts for a range of business entities and preparing and reviewing corporation tax computations and returns as well as billing.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be ACA/ACCA Qualified with ideally at least 3-4 years PQE in practice and at least 6 years' practice experience. You'll have previous experience of line management and be personable and engaging. Excellent client relationship management skills and the aptitude to assist with business development activities is also desirable. A highly commercial approach coupled with strong communication and interpersonal skills is preferred. You'll also possess strong IT skills, being able to pick up new IT packages quickly and a good working knowledge of systems such as Xero, SAGE, QuickBooks & Excel.
