Partner Financial are currently working with a listed global retail business. This complex organisation has operations around the world and is now embarking on their next phase of growth. The business has a clear strategic agenda to achieve market excellence and will be delivering against this ambitious agenda by further investing and developing their technology powered, industry leading customer experience online.

Working closely with the Strategy Director and the Investor Relations Director, you will be responsible for supporting corporate strategy initiatives and business development projects integral to driving growth.

Strategy Responsibilities:

  • Supporting corporate strategy initiatives (investments, acquisitions) and business development projects (new growth areas, strategic partnerships)
  • Producing high quality data, analysis and insights to enable senior leaders to prioritise opportunities and identify commercial opportunities
  • Assessing underlying market trends and dynamics through data gathering and competitor analysis
  • Producing high-quality presentations to communicate strategic priorities and findings to the Board and other key stakeholders
  •  Working directly on strategic projects for the CEO and other ad hoc analysis

Investor Relations Responsibilities:

  • Providing analytical and financial support to the Investor Relations Director by tracking and assessing sell-side analyst models and performing competitor analysis
  • Identifying the key underlying drivers of performance across the business in order to produce strong investment cases
  • Producing high-quality presentations to communicate financial and strategic updates to investors and analysts
  • Supporting on corporate transactions

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Exposure to the retail or ecommerce sector
  • Corporate finance, transactional or management consulting experience, in practice or industry
  • In-depth understanding of financial and commercial drivers to inform strategic plans and decisions
  • Excellent knowledge of PowerPoint and presentation creation
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with a wide spectrum of people and manage a range of responsibilities
