Management Accountant
Salary: £40,000-£47,000
Location: Manchester

Sellick Partnership has been engaged to recruit a Management Accountant for a growing and dynamic financial services company based in Manchester. This profitable division is part of a listed and world leading organisation which has gone from strength to strength. The division has seen significant growth over the past few years and will now be looking to further advance through organic growth as well as via acquisitions.
This role is available at an exciting time and the successful candidate will play a major part in supporting the Financial Controller in preparing and reporting of high quality financial information, including undertaking and actively managing various key month end processes. You will provide Business Partner support to various teams across the business with a focus on expense control and continuous improvement initiatives, whilst leading a team of two Account Assistants.
Duties include:-
- Contribution to the month and quarter close process in line with company policies and timetables.
- Ownership of the month end affiliate pack submitted to Group.
- Build and maintain business partnering relationships with various department heads.
- Provide detailed analysis of expenses, including commercial insight into potential areas of expense reduction and detailed budget and forecasting information.
- Provide detailed commentary for inclusion within monthly reporting package and other submissions to Senior Management and group.
- Ownership of cash flow and balance sheet accounts ensuring understanding and control of balances.
- Adhering to robust accounting processes to ensure accurate reporting of both the P&L and Balance sheet.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) coming from a similar role and ideally with previous financial services industry experience.
You will possess good leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and support teams across finance coupled with building positive relationships with teams and leaders across the business to work collaboratively.
You will need to be driven, inquisitive and have a desire to succeed and improve.
