Finance Manager

Elevation Accountancy & Finance are proud to be working with a successful and highly stable business in Barnsley as they look to recruit a Finance Manager to work within their central function. This role will report straight to the Finance Director and will be responsible for leading a small team, managing the accounts production under robust financial controls as well as driving financial performance in terms of operations.

This will be a varied role with duties to include the following:

- To oversee the preparation of the monthly profit and loss account
- To ensure accurate monthly forecasts and annual strategic plans
- To prepare accurate monthly labour forecasts and subsequent variance analysis reports
- To ensure all monthly, quarterly and annual reporting deadlines are met
- To provide accurate management information and reporting
- Ensure standard cost accounting is completed and variances are reported accurately
- Monitor material, labour and overheads
- Investigate significant variances to standard costs in the profit and loss account, suggesting recommendations for improvement
- To control and monitor the company's Capital Expenditure process
- To control the branch's working capital, providing accurate forecasts for HO
- To liaise with both internal and external auditors accordingly
- Oversee smooth running of both purchase and sales ledger
- To check payroll information for authorisation and transmission to the bank ensuring payments to individuals are made on time

The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

*CIMA/ ACCA or ACA qualification
*Preferably experience in the manufacturing industry (although not essential)
*Proven record of delivering meaningful change and successful and reliable reporting
*Expertise in an international collaboration
*Profound knowledge of Financial Reporting
*Profound experience with MS Excel
*Distinctive analytical and process skills
*Solution-focused, hands-on-mentality and team spirit
