Management Accountant

Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently working in partnership with a growing organisation, based in the Mansfield area as they look to strengthen their busy finance function with the addition of an experienced Management Accountant.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a thriving business as they go from strength to strength.

The successful candidate will be joining a friendly and supportive team and will receive full study support towards their CIMA or ACCA studies, as well as a dedicated progression plan and exposure to a variety of accounting duties.

Key duties will include (but are not limited to):

*Reconciliation of all relevant balance sheet codes
*Management and calculation of all related accruals, driving accuracy & efficiencies where possible
*Quarterly overhead budgeting using relevant cost KPI's
*Ownership/presentation of monthly finance reports to direct line manager, and senior finance as required
*Build relationships with relevant commercial departments and act as a business partner for financial/numerical queries
Help to support commercial departments through reconciliation of multiple data sources, and communicating variances back for review and correction
*Support group & statutory audits with all balance sheet category related data / audit requests
*Preparation of subsidiary VAT returns
*Ad-hoc support to wider UK finance team as required

Person specification:

*Studying towards CIMA/ACCA
*Between 3-5 years' working within an Assistant Accountant role
*Educated to GCSE level including Maths & English
*Excellent communication skills with proven experience of liaising with individuals at varying levels
*Strong analytical skills including use of Excel (Pivot Tables & VLOOKUPs)
