My client is a highly acquisitive technology services business, they have maintained consistent year on year growth by delivering innovative products and unrivalled customer service. The result of which is they are now attracting interest from potential external investors and the board have decided to strengthen the accounts department by recruiting a high calibre and fully qualified Financial Controller.
Based at their flagship offices this Senior Finance position will take responsibility for the production of management and statutory information for six businesses within the group, improving controls and processes whilst also driving commercial understanding. Managing a team of six finance staff the Financial Controller will provide support and mentorship to ensure a first class finance function is delivered to the business. Duties will include:
• Completing the group finance pack including KPI’s with meaningful commentary
• Updating P&L, balance sheet and cashflow forecasts for the group
• Preparation of statutory accounts and tax calculations
• Assisting with the budgeting and re-forecasting process
• Completing monthly management accounts to deadline
• Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
• Assisting with due diligence and acquisition integration
Within this Senior Finance position you will be actively encouraged to: build relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues, assist and deputiise for the CFO, complete growth orientated projects. To operate successfully in this position you must have strong organisational and analytical skills with the ability to manage and delegate to your team to ensure departmental objectives are met. Knowledge of multiple accountancy packages, Excel to an advanced level and the ability work to deadlines in a commercial, fast moving business would also be beneficial. Previous experience within a data rich, high volume environment would be particularly attractive along with reporting experience gained in group of companies.
