External Financial Reporting Manager, IPO NASDAQ

We are recruiting a Senior Accounting Manager for a technology client who are planning to IPO on NASDAQ in 2022.

Overview – you will be responsible for timely and accurate delivery of all required group financial reporting under IFRS in compliance with all relevant US listing regulations.

Main deliverables are the Annual Report and Form 20-F, the Semi-Annual Report, the quarterly Earnings Releases, audit committee materials, the financial reporting sections of any Registration Statements or other documents required by US/SEC regulators for extraordinary transactions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare relevant annual/semi-annual filings with the SEC, including XBRL information, review of financial statements/ disclosures as required under FPIs rules.
  • Provide technical accounting and implementation support and training to members of the finance and accounting team on the treatment of accounting issues in compliance with IFRS and SEC requirements.
  • Research, evaluate and document technical accounting implications of complex or non-standard transactions. 
  • Keep current on proposed accounting and SEC reporting matters to proactively update management and finance teams. Provide continuous development of external reporting disclosures in light of changing external reporting environment.
  • Update the accounting policies manual and develop new policies to ensure consistency and compliance with IFRS and SEC requirements.
  • Manage interactions with and develop Company’s memos and other analysis for internal and external auditors for their audit/review of semi-annual and annual financial statements and specific accounting matters, as they arise.
  • Support the execution of controls for SOX compliance within external reporting
  • Ensure adherence to deadlines and attainment of standards across the areas of responsibility in the delivery of external reporting
  • Close interaction and engagement with the Group Reporting team to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of financial statements.
  • Partner and execute on other finance related projects and initiatives as directed by the senior managers.

Your profile:

  • University educated and Big four trained with 5 -10 years PQE.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and US listing requirements.
  • Strong leadership profile, demonstrable experience in leading and developing high performing teams.
  • Change management – implementation, improvement and streamlining of systems and processes.
  • Excellent analytical review skills with demonstrated ability to identify/anticipate problems and implement a plan to mitigate them in advance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, specifically ability to communicate financial messages in writing
  • Experience implementing accounting standards and special projects.
