Technical Financial Controller role managing a team of 3. The role will focus on improving the quality and timeliness of reporting in-line with Group standards, as well as managing the Audit and ad-hoc requests from Group.

Client Details

Wholesale & distribution business with a very healthy EBITDA. The business plans to grow in European markets.

Description

  • Responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts pack to Group timetable
  • Prepare the statutory financial statements for the existing 6 entities of the Group within the timescales laid out by the Board.
  • Interpretation and application of IFRS, including the effect of new and amended statements
  • Review of intangibles and investment valuations
  • Production of the statutory financial statements
  • Management of the audit process to ensure delivery in time and delivering value for money
  • Reporting to the Audit Committee on findings during the audit and progress
  • Manage on-time delivery of all tax reporting for the legal entities and registered branches in the Group, including annual tax returns, VAT, R&D claims etc.
  • Ensure the accounting systems, processes and controls are appropriate for the Group and are functioning as required; taking action to correct if not
  • Cash management and treasury, including forecasting, in a multi-currency environment
  • Bank account set up and management across all territories.
  • Provide team with objectives to drive business delivery. Coach the team for improved performance, providing guidance and support, identifying development and job training needs.
  • Build strong relationships with senior management and other internal customers, challenging decisions where possible and supporting them with decision making through detailed and robust analysis.

Profile

-ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified

-Strong Financial Accounting experience

-Experience within or advising fast-pace international or multi-entity environments

-Up to date knowledge of IFRS

-Experience of maintaining, developing and enhancing financial controls & processes

-Have excellent communications skills required to manage relationships spanning the Board, Auditors and a range of internal stakeholders

-Have highly developed analytical skills, be numerate and IT literate (Excel/ERP), with advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Job Offer

£65,000-£70,000 basic
