Project Accountant - 18 month contract

Our client is seeking to appoint a Group Project Accountant to join the group finance function of a growing complex multinational organisation.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, core responsibilities include: development of internal group reporting processes to ensure timely and insightful MI; Development of the control environment leading control improvement initiatives across the Group; Support in building financial capability e.g. ensuring thorough understanding of local numbers, robust reporting and resolution of any local reporting queries/issues; Offering professional judgement and advice on financial matters and advising on ways of improving processes and control; Assist Group Financial Controller, Director of Group Finance and CFO with ad hoc projects - including financial modelling, investment appraisals, forecasting and other financial analysis; Working in a small Group finance team, you will understand and help develop all aspects of the finance function.

The ideal candidate will be a accountant. The candidate must be technically sound with an ability to communicate technical matters and their implications effectively with various stakeholders. The candidate must also be able manage projects from start to finish ensuring stakeholders are managed throughout and key objectives delivered on time and in full.

The role is an 18 month contract role
