Assistant Management Accountant | Halifax | £25,000 - £30,000
The Opportunity
Aspirational, modern group experiencing hugely impressive growth have an opportunity for a career-minded Assistant Management Accountant. This is a chance to develop a super broad range of skills alongside CIMA or ACCA study and would suit someone looking for fast track progression within a growth business.
The remit will initially involve heavily supporting the Financial Controller with management accounts preparation and month end close. As your experience and confidence develops you will be involved in budgeting, variance analysis, forecasting, project accounting and year end statutory reporting.
There is a high degree of business partnering – it’s a vibrant, well connected group and you’ll work in an open plan alongside sales, marketing, IT, HR and operational teams. It’s a brilliant setting and there is a fun culture. It’s an office where finance are always invited to Friday drinks!
You’ll have exposure to the senior leadership team and MD from the outset and it’s a chance to really fast track. It would suit a professional and confident graduate (Accounting and finance) looking to develop their experience and career swiftly.
You will need:
- Previous practical experience of core accounting (accruals and prepayment, reconciliations etc) and good knowledge of Excel.
- AAT or an accounting / finance degree.
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Confidence – this is a role in a professional and fast paced business where you will be challenged and stretched (with support from the FC).
- Great interpersonal skills – this is a lively, modern setting and you’ll work closely with colleagues across all commercial and operational areas of the group.
The right candidate will become Management Accountant within the next 12 – 24 months. Fully CIMA or ACCA study support will be provided.
