The Opportunity

Professional, modern and rapidly growing business (circa £35m turnover) have an incredible opportunity for an AAT qualified accountant looking for autonomy, work life balance and a lovely culture.

It’s a great place to work – there’s lots going on and turnover is increasing.  It’s also well-managed and unashamedly profitable / cash rich so there’s no issues around juggling suppliers or worrying about payroll!   The role is busy and challenging but there are no late nights or working lunches – it’s really sensible and the work/life balance is deliberate to ensure people who work here are engaged and upbeat not burnt out or frustrated.

The role is really varied; assisting the FC with all areas of transactional finance and in particular tying up management accounts for 2-3 of the smaller subsidiaries of the group.

If you are:

AAT qualified / QBE or studying ACCA or CIMA and looking to join a business that genuinely respect, reward and value their employees we would welcome the chance to speak.

You need:

• A good baseline of core accounting skills (accruals and prepayments, journals, reconciliations, month end management accounting involvement).
• Excellent analytical skills – good knowledge of Excel.
• Ability to manage your own time and workload effectively.
