Management Accountant, Hounslow/Heathrow, £45-50k

Are you a qualified/finalist management accountant looking for a step up? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reknowned multi-million pound Logistics business. You will be an essential member of the FP&A team and provide accounting support and ensuring that the management accounts and associated analysis are prepared on an accurate basis

You will be responsible for:

• Working closely with the FP&A Manager and Finance Business Partners to ensure accurate production of month end management accounts 
• Responsible for the production of management accounts for 2 Op Co's 
• Maintain accurate reconciliations with supporting back-up for accruals, prepayments and other balance sheet areas – e.g. fixed asset ledger and depreciation
• Build a thorough understanding of all costs incurred by the business to support decision-making. Engage with Operational Managers to understand key cost drivers.
• Work with the Financial Controller and Transactional team to ensure invoice coding has been completed correctly and provide support as required on key areas of general ledger, e.g. fixed asset register
• Support the FP&A Manager and Finance Business Partners on weekly and monthly reporting and variance analysis – financial and non-financial information. Including the analysis of monthly performance to Budget and/or Forecast of financial and non-financial information, evaluating variance impact and identifying trends
• Support annual budget and forecasting processes
• Actively build and maintain strong relationships with finance and non-finance colleagues at all levels

Skills and Qualifications

• Finalist or Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
• Strong Excel knowledge, e.g. pivots/look ups/large data handling and analysis
• Multi-site and multi- P&L experience is essential
• Must have high transactional industry experience
• Knowledge of mid-range accounting systems  / general ledgers
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Proactive, taking the initiative to explore issues and to generate new ideas and approaches
• Strong team player but also able to work autonomously
