This new role is with a well established manufacturing business that is part of a global group of companies. A new chapter in their growth is happening following the merger of three sites into the Lancashire office and a new ERP system going live in the next few months. This is therefore a very exciting time to join this business where you can make a real impact on growth and profitability. Reporting directly into the Finance Director this Commercial Manufacturing Accountant position will work with colleagues across all areas of the business and has the potential to develop into an FP&A role in the future. The key responsibilities for this position will be:

  • Providing cost accounting and manufacturing MI across the division
  • Developing the ERP system to support business and operational needs
  • Margin analysis based on site factory costings
  • Stock valuation and analysis of material and stock variances
  • Prepare cost structures for new products to enable accurate pricing
  • Support budget and reforecasting with gross margin and costing data
  • Variance analysis of commercial sales and BOM’s
  • Support sales pricing, margin management, customer / product profitability
  • Monthly reporting with commentary and recommendations

This role will become a key part of the finance team, supporting group reporting requirements and ad hoc projects as the business goes through this period of change. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is essential along with good understanding of stock and costing. Experience with ERP systems and improvement, data analysis techniques and ability to communicate confidently at all levels will also be vital factors to be successful in this position.
