Financial Reporting Manager
Based: Manchester centre - hybrid working office/home
Salary: dependent on experience, 27days holiday rising to 30 with opportunity to buy more, healthcare, matched pension, employee assistance programme
Our client are a rapidly expanding, Private Equity backed high-growth technology business based in the heart of Manchester. An exciting business with continuous growth plans for the next few years, this role reports into an ACA qualified Head of Finance and CFO providing a strong mentor and succession plan for future growth.
The business are extremely well known for their flexible & supportive approach internally and externally and we are looking to find someone keen to enhance their career in this environment. This opportunity will allow you to build on your current knowledge whilst gaining a wider breadth of financial accounting and commercial exposure in a high growth, PE backed business
Role:
- Daily, weekly and monthly financial reporting - liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- Lead, coach and develop 3 staff within the Financial Reporting team
- Preparing monthly management accounts along with variance analysis of financial statements
- Preparing group statutory accounts ensuring filed correctly in line with FRS102
- Reporting - internal to Directors and external to investors, PE house, bank, auditors
- Ownership of business financial controls regularly reviewing and enhancing
- Revenue optimisation, ensuring revenue is reconciled
- Budget control of fixed spend - liaising with budget owners across the business to challenge
- Continuous process improvement across the group processes
- Project work including involvement in new system implementation in 2022
- Ad hoc projects and duties with the Head of Finance /CFO
Experience:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
- Practice first time mover OR industry with experience of audit
- Commercial acumen with the ability to work with stakeholders
- Experience with audit, financial reporting and statutory accounts highly desirable
