Our client is a high growth tech organisation which has achieved a successful Series A fundraise and expects exceptional growth ahead.  They are looking to hire an experienced FC, supporting the FD to establish the finance function and partner with the business to drive strong continued growth.  It is expected the role will be around 6 months, with a possibility of going perm.

Responsibilities:

  • Accounting & Tax: Monthly management accounts, KPls & board reporting; tax returns completed accurately & on-time; preparation of R&D tax credit return; company secretarial, equity & options management
  • Planning & Analysis: Budgets & growth-focused business partnering; cash flow & runway forecasting
  • Treasury: Customer invoice & supplier bill management; multi-currency cash control for on-time collection & cash maximisation strategy; payroll & expenses
  • Risk & Governance: Develop & manage finance policies & procedures; manage the finance risk register
  • Manage third party finance suppliers (accountants, advisors, banks, co-sec)

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant with a strong track record in finance
  • Experience, ideally, as a Financial Controller in a start-up environment
  • Clear, concise & engaging communicator
  • Willing to be hands on as required and sharp attention to detail
  • Experience in a software/ tech B2B business
  • Experience with finance system implementation
  • Self-starter and proactive, 'can do' personality
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical and listening skills
