We’re looking for a Finance Analyst to join and support our Retail Finance Business Partnering Team.

About the role

As a Finance Analyst you’ll provide finance support, advice and challenge to our Retail teams, to develop successful and effective relationships in order to deliver great analysis and insight.

As Retail has exciting new plans for the next year, including continued online growth and new store openings in a variety of new formats, you’ll be a critical and influential member the Finance team.

You’ll take a proactive approach to identifying the finance needs of the Retail teams, delivering new solutions and data led insights to help grow the retail business.  You’ll be expected to be both challenging and supportive in assisting Retail to achieve the British Heart Foundation’s (BHF) strategic goals.

This is a dual location role, with your working time split between your home and our Claygate office. This will allow us to unlock our best work for our cause, blending the best of home and office working.

About you

Part qualified CCAB or CIMA accountant, or with significant retail or charity finance experience, you’ll have a core understanding of technical accounting fundamentals, preferably with intent to attain full qualification.  This will include relevant experience of management accounting/reporting, forecasting, budgeting and analysis.

You’ll have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, able to have those difficult conversations with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. With strong analytical skills you’ll be intellectually curious and challenging, comfortable and skilled in explaining the financial issues to non-finance people.

Excellent MS Excel skills are a must for this role, and you’ll have high quality standards and a positive ‘can do’ attitude and will be able to work independently but also contribute and collaborate as part of a team.
