Financial Reporting Manager job for newly qualified accountant from Practice.

Hays Senior Finance are working exclusively with Meadow Foods in Chester to recruit a Financial Reporting Manager. Meadow Foods started life as a family-owned dairy trading firm selling dairy ingredients in the UK and Europe. Through organic growth and strategic acquisitions, it has grown to a >£400m turnover ingredients business with four sites across the UK and just under 500 employees.

Meadow Foods was invested in by the private equity firm Exponent in 2018 and is on an ambitious journey to shift from a ‘dairy’ business to a market leading ingredients business. The business has ambitious growth plans for the next few years. To support this growth and manage the requirements of private equity ownership, the business is looking to recruit a Financial Reporting Manager to provide support to the Group financial controller and the finance team.

KEY DUTIES INCLUDE

• Assistant to Group Financial Controller as required for Finance projects and support in ad-hoc requests from the senior executive
• Consolidation reporting for the Group, actuals and forecast
• Covenant compliance forecasting and monitoring
• Preparation of statutory accounts for Group and all subsidiaries (9 companies) including some associated accounting
• Oversight of tax and treasury accounting
• Ensuring Meadow Foods and its associated companies are compliant with UK accounting standards and taxation legislation
• Support in liaison with external advisers (tax and audit)
• Assistance with Group Budget Preparation
• Audit & Tax schedule preparation
• Coordinating Balance Sheet control account review process

 SKILLS REQUIRED

• ACA qualified – Top 10 Practice
• Proven audit and tax experience
• Advanced IT skills, particularly Excel
• Self motivated
