Fund Accountant (Associate) - Real Estate. Our Client are an award winning pan-European real estate investment and development firm who were set up over 30 years ago. They have shown steady and continuous growth over the years. Due to further expansion they are now looking for a Fund Accountant to join this commercial and dynamic team.

The Role will include the following duties:

  • Managing the inputs from third party service provider, mostly local accountants, tax advisors, auditors and property managers.
  • Reviewing third party book-keepers management accounts and instructing any changes.
  • Preparing fund consolidations, cash flows, NAV reconciliations and distributions.
  • Supporting the transactions, understanding the tax structuring and mechanics of transactions.
  • Supporting the buy side or sell side due diligence, managing the completion mechanics, managing funds flows and integrating the acquisition into an existing structure or effectively accounting for a disposal.
  • Working with tax advisors across a European portfolio and applying tax computations (incl. deferred tax) to the book-keeping, cash flow modelling and reporting of Funds.
    Managing audits, tax declarations and board meetings, organising resolutions.
  • Managing the creation and liquidation of SPVs, feed into liquidity management and organising capital injections / repayments.

The Person will be a finalist or newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with at least 2 years' experience of working as a Real Estate Fund Accountant. It is essential the Candidate has strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS. The incumbent must be able to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and have attention to detail. Excellent communication skills are a must as the role requires overseeing and managing third party administrators.
