Accountancy Recruit are working exclusively with a growing, PE backed, UK division of a global software group. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent, full-time FP&A Analyst based at the Slough Head Office reporting to the UK Financial Controller. My client requires a hands-on finance professional to provide modelling and analytical support to the finance department and across the organisation with international liaison and some domestic and potentially international travel required. This is an exciting role with a cutting edge Tech/SaaS company during a crucial period of acquisitional growth which will provide excellent opportunity for career development.
Key duties will encompass:

  • Analyse and prepare supporting schedules for the consolidated annual budgets and forecasts, monitor the operations as compared to budget/forecast and re-assess the plan as required.
  • Support in analysing Client/project profitability and gross margins.
  • Model potential commission pay-outs based on forecast new business & renewal sales.
  • Prepare and consolidate management reports for Sales, Operations and General Management.
  • Support in preparing the monthly Flash and Board reports and bringing together the story and summary of the key financials.
  • Manage multiple ad-hoc requests that come from the business and perform analysis to support decision making.
  • Undertake ad hoc analytical projects to evaluate alternative plans, return on investment and provide decision support.
  • Support pre- and post-acquisition processes - including mapping of legacy financial reports into current financial reports.
  • Support the UK Financial Controller with the year-end audit in providing information requested by the external auditors.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


About you:

  • ACA/ACCA or CIMA Qualified accountant
  • Experience of budgeting / forecasting.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel modelling skills and PowerPoint.
  • International group experience would be advantageous.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamically changing environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to work and interact with all levels of personnel in the company.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a continuously evolving environment and work independently where necessary
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills whilst being diplomatic and tactful
  • Excellent analytical and management skills.
