Responsibilities
As Finance Systems Manager you will be involved in a number of ongoing projects ranging from routine upgrades, maintenance, automation, process improvement and streamlining financial processes.
The Finance Systems Manager will lead development, implementation, documentation, and administration of the Institute’s financial systems. You will initiate and drive continuous improvement in systems, processes, and policies. You will also support users of finance systems providing specialist knowledge of business systems and processes.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Project management experience/qualification
- Experience of financial systems implementation and processes essential, previous working experience of NAV, Jet and Dynamics 365 beneficial
- Strong end-to-end knowledge finance processes: Record to Report (R2R), Order to Cash (O2C), and Procure to Pay (P2P)
- Track record of achievement through others and of building positive working relationships, supported by excellent communication skills (written, spoken, presentation)
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability
- Strong negotiating and influencing skills with the ability to resolve conflicting priorities
- Strong organisational skills, including ability to prioritise own workload and that of others in a pressurised environment to tight deadlines
- Ability to effectively manage relationships with key partners, stakeholders, and colleagues

Our department: Finance
The Finance department is responsible for activities in four core areas: stewardship, control and risk assessment, transaction processing, and strategic decision support.
In addition to financial support, they also provide assistance with legal and contracts queries, IP and brand protection, GDPR and data protection, project management and continuous improvement.
