Group Financial Controller

About the company:

Communicate is working with a large, International logistics company based in North London in search of a Group Financial controller to join the team. This is an opportunity to join a highly established business on a high growth trajectory within a Senior Finance position.

About the Role:

This is a Group Financial Controller role with a focus on being able to business partner with Country MD’s in order to optimize business performance, as well as distribute funds to other departments of the business. You will be overseeing all finance activities of the business as well as leading and continuing to build out the team. Additionally, the role will have a large focus on budgeting and forecasting as well as integrating finance operations and preparing financial reports.

Key Elements of the Role:

• Overseeing financial accounts and KPI’s for the Board and shareholders
• Establishing and maintaining key relationships with internal and external auditors
• Preparing Annual financial statements
• Developing financial strategies such as risk management and opportunity forecasts.
• Build out and control the company’s annual operating budget to ensure targets are met and regulations are complied with.
• Improving efficiencies and cutting costs for the business.

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified accountant with 5+ years’ experience in Senior Finance positions
• Plc experience is required
• Previous experience working in the Logistics or Supply chain industry is preferred
• Experience within Group roles would be advantageous
• Understanding of regulations and tax planning issues
