Senior Financial Accountant

Senior Financial Accountant required for a thriving retail organisation in Swindon - Up to £60,000 + Benefits.

Your new company
You'll be joining a well established and household-name retail organisation with operations based in Swindon, who have recovered well from the challenges of the last 18 months and are now looking for a qualified and technically strong accountant to join the senior management team and help strengthen the financial control environment.

Your new role
Reporting into a strong senior management team, you'll be in a standalone position primarily supporting the Financial Controller and providing ad-hoc support to the wider business on technical issues. Specifically, you'll be getting involved with;

• Preparing the annual statutory accounts.
• Delivering variance analysis and commentary to board level.
• Preparing short term cashflow forecasts.
• Taking responsibility for day-to-day currency requirements.
• Managing and building internal and external relationships with key stakeholders.
• Working closely with auditors and tax advisors.

What you'll need to succeed
Due to the technical nature of this role, you'll be a qualified accountant with a strong technical background and experience in dealing with technical financial reporting and accounting issues. Due to the amount of partnering and relationship management in this role, you'll also have outstanding interpersonal skills with demonstrated emotional intelligence.
