The Finance team is responsible for the accounting and financial activities of the organization. Our team shares a passion for analyzing data and furthering education.  Our global team works collaboratively with all departments to ensure accurate and timely data, enabling leadership with reliable information to maintain our leading position in EdTech.

The Financial Accountant will serve as a key member of team through support of monthly and annual financial reporting, as well as supporting the annual external financial statement audit. This financial reporting will be reviewed by Promethean’s executive leadership team, management of our parent company, and certain external parties. Through execution of their responsibilities, this individual will work with a number of individuals within the global Accounting and Finance departments. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of the monthly reporting package
  • Prepare our annual statutory financial documents in various jurisdictions including the UK, France, Germany, and Singapore
  • Provide assistance on technical accounting topics where required, such as the introduction of new accounting standards
  • Help with group’s annual audits and interim reviews
  • Assist with the month end process for various group entities
  • Partner with IT to continue to automate and improve financial processes
  • Assist in formal documentation of accounting controls for financial reporting process
  • Support and lead special projects and ad hoc analyses as needed

Requirements:

  • Newly qualified ACA/ACCA
  • Role is suited to a recently qualified accountant working in audit and looking for their first move into industry
  • Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of IFRS are essential, knowledge of reporting in France and Germany an advantage
  • Experience of group consolidations is highly desirable
  • A strong teammate who is a self-starter and works to tight deadlines
  • Sophisticated MS Office skills, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint; Experience with LN and Cognos a plus
