Fund Accounting Manager - Real Estate - OUR CLIENT is an established and ambitious Property Investor and asset Manager who have a diverse range of commercial assets throughout the UK and who continue to seek to invest capital. They are now seeking to appoint the Fund Accounting Managerg to assume responsibility for analysing and reporting on their diverse portfolio of real estate SPVS and entities: with complete responsibility for reporting for real estate funds from management accounts, tax compliance, treasury to investor reporting.
THE ROLE: the successful Candidate will be expected to undertake the following duties:
- Maintaining fund level accounts for co-investment funds, utilising information provided by the property management team.
- Producing quarterly analysis for investor reporting, reporting on investment performance, property performance against business plan and historical and forecast cash flows.
- Assisting with the preparation of investment documents to support the process of debt and equity raising.
- Assisting with ongoing investor relations and reporting to banks, including compliance calculations.
- Managing audit of co-investment vehicles, planning the timetable and responding to all auditor queries.
- Liaising with overseas corporate service providers to ensure all VAT and other compliance obligations are met.
- Managing tax and reporting compliance for all global entities (Cayman Islands, Jersey, UK, Isle of Man).
- Reporting for operational companies, including quarterly management accounts and rolling forecasts.
- FCA reporting for regulated AIFM.
- Portfolio analysis and reporting for investment returns and cash flow.
THE PERSON: To apply for this role you will need to be qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) or hold an equivalent qualification with strong sector experience. This role is well suited to someone who has spent time in a 3rd party administrator or service provider (or similar) who focuses on real estate clients and would now like to go client side. You will be a self-motivated individual with extensive experience of real estate accounting, funds and compliance. You will be able to drive and meet deadlines and manage busy cycles with conflicting priorities. Additionally, you will be expected to show an understanding of capital structures and the different uses of debt in a real estate transaction.
