Management Accountant

Day Rate – Salary Negotiable | Immediate start | Outside IR35 | South Manchester

Axon Moore are working with a leading International PE backed business who have doubled in size over the last few years. Growing both organically and via acquisitions. Turnover is currently circa £15 million with projections to reach £50 million within 5 years.

The office is based in South Manchester however they are currently working remotely with plans to go into the office 1 day (increasing to 2) per week from next year.

We are looking for a Management Accountant to support day to day BAU work in order to free up time for due diligence activities for future acquisitions and growth and implementation of process and controls.

Duties:

• Support the Head of Finance with the close of financial month end, ensuring accurate reporting with financial timescales.
• Lead on key areas on month end close including ensuring AP/AR close and revenue close alongside the Head of Finance.
• Carry out any additional activities that may be reasonably required or requested.

• Preparation and posting of journals including accruals and prepayments
• Completion of Balance Sheet reconciliations to ensure strong controls are in place with the finance team
• Posting and reconciliation of payroll at month end
• Preparation of Management Accounts which includes variance analysis of profit and loss
• Preparation of monthly divisional review packs.
• Assistance with budgeting and forecasting
• Ad hoc commercial and working capital analysis
• Commitment to continual improvement of processes

Person Specification:

• Ideally qualified, we will consider PQ / QBE / Stopped studiers too.
• Robust Finance / Management Accounts background
• Good excel skills (pivots, look ups etc)
• Immediately available
