Financial Accountant

We are currently working with a distinguished financial services group that is a leading player in their field and has grown in recent years. There exists an opportunity for a qualified accountant to join the financial control team and help with reporting and accounting requirements for one of the business units.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the business unit accounting and financial reporting. You will interact and partner with non-financial teams across the business, providing technical support and advice. Your role will be varied but will cover day to day and month end activities and projects relating to finance. An important aspect of the position will be to assist in the development of processes and controls to drive enhancements to the control framework and efficiency.

You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) and your background will demonstrate strong accounting and technical expertise, likely from the chartered or financial services environment. You will have excellent knowledge of IFRS standards, experience of preparing accounts and ideally providing guidance in relation to accounting. You will have excellent interpersonal skills to partner across the business and also manage and lead project tasks.
