Site Financial Controller

Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be working on an exclusive basis with a well established manufacturing business in Chesterfield as they look to recruit a Financial Controller which will sit as a number 1 role in finance for the site, managing a team of 3.

The team consists of an AP Clerk, Credit Controller and a Trainee Management Accountant and this role will report to the MD on site as well as a Group FC and Group CFO based in Europe. With a site turnover of approximately £25 Million, the successful candidate will be responsible for taking ownership of the Management Accounts production with related analysis for the site as well as overseeing productions costs, budgeting and forecasting.

Duties & Responsibilities will include:-

· Managing a team of three
· Assisting with the implementation of SAP ERP system in the UK
· Assisting the UK accounting team through this period of change, and develop and support them to manage the new systems and processes
· Managing the day-to-day operations of the UK accounting team, and ensure that all processes are completed efficiently and accurately
· Producing monthly management accounts and monthly group reports
· Producing the year-end accounts to TB level and preparing the statutory disclosures, liaising with our auditors to produce the statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards
· Producing the monthly payroll, supervision of the hourly and pension scheme payroll, including administration of PAYE and pensions
· Production of VAT returns
· Business partnering with stakeholders across the business
· Produce other regular and ad hoc reports and analysis including standard costing exercises, business case preparation and critique, submission of fixed asset requests
· Analyse, control and challenge overhead costs by department area and liaising with department budget holders
· Drive the improvement of processes and reports within the accounting team, with a focus on the forecasting and control of manufacturing costs
· Responsible for the preparation and management of the UK Sales, HR, OPEX and Industrial cost budget
· Responsible for the preparation of the half year and year end consolidation package for submission to group
· Manage the local banking and insurance relationships and requirements

Elevation Accountancy & Finance would be keen to speak with candidates with the following skills and experiences:

*Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), Qualified by Experience will be considered
*Manufacturing experience or costing experience from another industry
*Excellent Excel Skills, SAP experience would be a distinct advantage also
*Strong organisational and analytical skills
*Ability to meet deadlines
*A team player with some staff management experience would be highly advantageous
*Experience of implementing new systems and process
*Experience of dealing in a multi-currency environment is essential
