An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a rapidly growing business based locally in Luton. The role will work in a friendly finance team of 6 and be overseeing the transactional finance team of 4. The role will work closely with the Financial Controller, producing management accounts and some insightful value add management information. 

Main duties:

  • Oversee a team of 4 transactional finance officers
  • Take ownership of monthly management accounts
  • Analysis of monthly reports and assist the Financial Controller to provide insightful, value add analysis.
  • Ensure all financial transactions have been processed by end of the month
  • Check balance-sheet items for any corrections
  • Manage cashflow and provide weekly updates
  • Bank reconciliations and money transfers
  • Quarterly VAT returns
  • Oversee finance systems to ensure smooth running - including upgrades

Skills Required:

  • Good Excel experience - (vlookup, pivot tables are essential)
  • Previous management/supervisory experience
  • Previous experience using an accounting system
  • Good communication skills
  • Works well in a small team
