Management Accountant

Resourcery Group are working exclusively with a well known brand and highly regarded business in Liverpool. They are looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join a high performing team based at their central Liverpool office. This is a brilliant opportunity for a Management Accountant to join a highly profitable business that offers fast track career progression, state of the art modern offices and full hybrid working. The Management Accountant will be responsible for the following:

Description of role and key responsibilities

• Maintain Sales, Purchase & Nominal Ledgers
• Oversee the Credit Control process
• Production of month end management accounts
• Preparation of accounting entries, G/L Journals, prepayments and accruals
• Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
• Production of various management reports.
• Preparation of external reporting requirements including annual statutory accounts
• Production of quarterly VAT returns and other HMRC tax requirements
• Assist with annual audit
• Day to day financial management of payments and cash.
• Daily Bank Reconciliations
• Assist in the yearly budget preparation
• To be a business partner, closely cooperating with commercial and other business/ project managers to understand the business challenges and strategies
• Ensure compliance with both policies and procedures

Any other attributes that would be helpful, but not essential for the role.

• Advanced Excel user.
• Knowledge of the Sage/JDE accounting systems

Qualification/ Experience

• Qualified or part qualified accountant
