My client, a growing FinTech in the world of payments is looking to hire a Financial Controller in a newly created position to run the UK finance operations and build the function from scratch. This exciting business have significant international growth plans in the short-medium term and will be growing and expanding their product offering across Canada, US, Europe and Asia.
In this role you will have full responsibility for the finance function, will build out a team beneath you and eventually have oversight of finance operations for international entities.
Responsibilities will include;
- Manage full month end, consolidation of accounts, balance sheet and revenue process from end-to-end
- Full ownership of annual statutory audit process
- Provide support on budget & forecasting
- Develop efficient, scalable and robust reporting processes, procedures and financial controls
- Lead and pioneer projects from a finance perspective to push business from start-up to scale-up
- Keep abreast with technical accounting, corporation and employment tax developments and other relevant industry changes
You must be;
- Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA)
- Ideal for someone looking to step up into a senior finance role or already in a finance manager/financial controller position
- Experience in a FinTech is highly desirable
- Broad finance experience - FP&A, Financial Accounting and Management Accounting
- Proficient with MS Office and Excel in particular
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - ability to communicate with all levels
- Highly motivated and able to work towards tight deadlines on multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment
A salary of £80k - £100k (depending on experience) + excellent benefits and flexible working
