Our client - a well-established manufacturer based in Hinckley - is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their busy finance team on a full-time permanent basis.

The role is varied and will require you to work on your own initiative and possess excellent time management skills. You will have a flexible approach and be able to prioritise your own workload in order to meet deadlines and deal with simultaneous demands. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. We are looking for someone who is well organised & self-motivated to undertake the following:

*Preparation of the monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet incl. reconciliations & cash flow),
*Daily & weekly KPI's incl. customer sales analysis compared to budget/forecast & prior year,
*Control of the fixed assets register,
*Reconciling all bank accounts, assigning sales invoices on to the company invoice financing facility,
*Review quotations & report all production variances - contribution reporting & standard cost deviation,
*Stock control - valuation & aged analysis. Report, discuss & resolve "distressed" stock with senior management,
*Preparation & processing of quarterly VAT return,
*Control standard costs for materials & labour, report on purchase price variance (PPV),
*Assisting the FD with statutory accounts/external audits, budgets & forecasts, cash flow projections,
*Oversee sales ledgers,
*Attend production meetings, raising issues / relevant information to aid efficiency,
*To be flexible within the company, to help out in other areas when required to do so.

The Right Person
*Newly / part-qualified CIMA, ACCA or equivalent, or AAT who is also qualified by many years' experience,
*The ability & confidence to translate & present financial information to senior management,
*Staff management skills, ability to lead & develop direct reports,
*Experience of the retail industry/major retailers would be an advantage,
*Proactive and able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision, continuously looking to develop the finance function,
*Excellent planning, organisational & deadline time keeping skills,
*Articulate, effective communication & interpersonal skills (written & verbal English), strong influencing skills,
*Strong MS Excel skills are essential (incl. V-lookup & H-lookup formulas, pivot tables, graphs & charts, conditional formatting), as well as MS Word & MS Outlook experience. Knowledge of ERP systems preferred (Syspro).
