They are seeking a skilled and commercially-minded Finance Analyst / Modeller to support the business in developing more robust finance models for business planning process for all sources of income and cost.

They are seeking a skilled and commercially-minded Finance Analyst / Modeller to support the business in developing more robust finance models for business planning process for all sources of income and cost.

Description

The Finance Analyst / Modeller will be creating financial models for tender opportunities across the UK, presenting business cases to senior stakeholders and delivering critical insight and expertise to enable the business to conduct its operations at an acceptable cost.

Additional tasks will include:

• Developing bid models for new projects covering all aspects of project life cycle for internal and external audiences
• Creating complex financial models to integrate external and internal costs forecasts over a long-term planning horizon
• Scoping out requirements from business functions and integrating the impact of requirements into models allowing for scenario planning and forecasting
• Reviewing existing models and develop an enhanced external cost model to integrate the balance sheet, income statement and cash flow positions
• Presenting data and modelling results to a variety of stakeholders including business leaders
• Cost analysis and evaluating prices for the company's products and service

Profile

The successful candidate will have previous finance analysis/business modelling experience, ideally within a finance context. Previous experience as a Finance Analyst, Cost Analyst, MI Analyst, Commercial Analyst, Pricing Analyst or similar variant would be strongly advantageous in being able to fulfil this role.

Additional candidate criteria includes:

• Some understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
• Advanced/Macro level Excel skills.
• Strong database knowledge
• Specific excel attributes which would support this role include MATCH, INDEX, PMT/Interest calculation, VLOOKUP, multiple level entry data sheet designs, output sheet design and graphics

Job Offer

There is a highly competitive basic salary in the £50,000-£55,000 range on offer for the successful applicant, in addition to a car allowance (over £5000 per annum), annual bonus and an extensive benefits package including a wide range of perks, offers and discounts on various products and services.
