Reporting to the MD, the Financial Controller will be primarily responsible for the day to day financial control and reporting for this successful international organisation. You will offer professional assistance to ensure compliance with regulations and legal requirements, and use general ledgers to create financial statements, whilst engaging in accounting decisions, long-term economic projections, and benefits forecasting.
This is an extremely varied role that will suit applicants with previous SME industry experience and a ‘hands on’ mentality.
Financial Controller Responsibilities:
- Oversee various accounting operations
- Manage Billing, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
- Manage and control cash-flow
- Work cohesively with the parent and subsidiary companies finance departments
- Ensure Company finance policies and regularly reviewed and adhered to
- Identify accounting and financial issues and suggest timely solutions
- Manage month-end and year-end close process
- Management of letter of credits and bank guarantees
- Manage quality control over financial transactions and reporting
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting requirements
- Production of accurate financial statements
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
- Manage and comply with government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Develop and adhere to policies and procedures
- Contribute with financial competences and innovative ideas for the potential growth and diversification of the company
The Candidate:
- Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA, with at least 5 years PQE
- Experience of managing/developing teams
- Experience of managing the day to day responsibilities of a finance function
- Previous experience of managing cash flow forecasts
- Extensive experience of working year end audit processes
- Proven ability of partnering the business and managing working relationships with all departments of an organisation
- Exceptional IT and Excel skills
- Emotionally intelligent, highly organised, accurate, with strong attention to detail and able to work with minimal supervision
- Flexible and enthusiastic
- Problem solver with a ‘can do’ attitude
- Previous working knowledge of SAP - highly desirable
