About the Organisation:

Our client is in the unique position to be able to offer an opportunity to work across both organisations as their joint Finance and IT Director. Both hospices are independent entities providing end-of-life support to the population of East Sussex, through their highly skilled multi-disciplinary teams. They have a clear vision of reaching increasing numbers of local patients and their families, in close collaboration with their community. In recent years, the hospices have been working increasingly in partnership and this role is an example, having been trialled in 2021. They are now looking for someone to take this forward on a permanent basis.

The role:

Join our client to fulfil this innovative role working closely with, and as a member of, the leadership teams at each hospice. They are looking for an inspirational leader and finance specialist to develop and implement strategic finance and IT initiatives in both hospices to achieve greater alignment, improved efficiencies, effective operations and best value for money.

You will be the principal financial advisor to the Board and leadership teams of both hospices, ensuring a clear understanding of financial risks and opportunities and how these can be managed to meet strategic aims.

You will provide a clear commercial focus in negotiations with external funders and advise on the configuration and delivery of services to respond to a changing funding situation. You will also be an effective agent of change, playing a pivotal role in promoting new ways of working that optimise skills and resources.
