Head of MI & Reporting / Manchester / £50k-£60k / PE Backed

I am delighted to be working with a PE back business, growing organically and through M&A as they look to double in size in the coming year.

This role with sit in between data, finance and operations and play an essential role in the use of valuable data to aid business growth. The ideal candidate will be commercially minded, having held an analytical role in the past and can demonstrate a strong business contribution through the distribution of data across various stakeholders.

I am interested in speaking with people from an ACA/ CIMA or ACCA background, or those who have developed through a commercial role in a larger business.

Key responsibilities:
  • To lead on the management, distribution, and development of reporting within the business. 
  • Continuous improvement of reporting and data management within the existing systems. 
  • To coach, mentor and develop the Data analyst team and maintain best in class business support.
  • Organise and lead a data and analytics unit, constantly seeking to improve the organisations capability to develop analytics and reporting. 
  • Maintain data integrity within inhouse system to ensure projects and master data reconciles. 
  • Build a strong relationship with the Divisional Directors and Operational team to influence and partner to ensure reports sent can support business growth.
  • To assist and answer queries from all colleagues as required.
  • To create, develop and manage additional reports for the use of business support (and the wider company) using SQL.
  • Ensure timely month end close with timesheet posting and checking revenue against projects in the system. 
  • To carry out any additional activities that may be reasonably required or requested.
Person Specification:
  • ACA/ CIMA or ACCA Qualified or someone with a Commercial background in data analytics. 
  • Advanced Excel skillset with a capability to utilise SQL and Power BI.
  • A strong stakeholder manager, with proven capability to business partner with finance and none finance.
  • Excellent systems experience, having the capability to design and implement new ways of working utilising existing and any new systems implemented.
