Management Accountant

This global business has a network of sites across the UK focused on the design, development, manufacture and distribution of specialist products to a range of industrial sectors. Based at one of their regional offices in Preston, this new role for a Management Accountant will provide information and analysis to improve understanding and drive profitability for a £100m turnover division. The position will offer exposure to a variety of operational processes including sales, logistics, manufacturing, purchasing and inventory, you must therefore be a strong communicator able to work with colleagues at all levels and at different sites. The main duties for this Management Accountant position will include:

• Monthly divisional management accounts production
• Reporting profit centre results to head office
• Involvement in Business Reviews and presentations to senior management
• Production of the annual budget and five-year plan
• Evaluation and reporting of sales, margins, fixed and variable costs 
• Develop and implement procedures to drive effective control within the department.
• Liaising with group to ensure consistency of management information
• Co-ordinate capital expenditure processes with supporting analysis

In this role you will become a Key User for financial planning and reporting systems, previous experience with SAP would be highly beneficial coupled with strong Excel skills. The position requires a good understanding of management accounting and analysis tools to support decision making and influence stakeholders within the organisation, candidates with strong financial analysis and business partnering skills would therefore be considered favourably.
