Accountancy Practice - Altrincham - Part Time Accountant - 2 - 3 Days

Your new firm
You will be working for a well established and highly regarded firm of chartered accountants based in the heart of Altrincham. This firm offer a range of services to their extensive client base, inclusive of accounts preparation, tax and payroll to name a selection and they are now looking to add to their accounting team by bringing in an Accountant on a part time basis.

Your new role
As a Part Time Accountant at this firm, you will be required to work with a range of limited companies, sole traders and partnerships of varying sizes. You will manage your own small portfolio and the position will see you prepare statutory accounts for the clients inclusive of corporation tax returns and you will also be responsible for the preparation of management accounts and self assessments when needed. You will work closely with colleagues and gain an overview of the firms wider clients base, liaising with them on a regular basis, dealing with queries as they arise.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to undertake this role you must have worked within an accountancy firm for a number of years previously. Whilst qualifications aren't essential the level of experience you have is, and so the ability to confidently undertake the above mentioned tasks is key. You will be able to work autonomously and have excellent communication skills as this role will require you to liaise with both colleagues and clients on a daily basis, often explaining complex matters. Exposure to various cloud based software systems will also be an advantage.

What you'll get in return
In return the firm are able to offer a competitive salary of between £30,000 - £35,000 dependent upon prior experience and comprehensive benefit package which includes a pension, flexible working and 28 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays. The firm also close between Christmas and New Year. The firm work a 35 hour week full time but they are looking for someone on a 2 - 3 days a week basis. This role will be office based and they are able to socially distance and have the office set up in a Covid safe manner, you will also have the ability to work from home when necessary and a laptop can be provided. Parking is available locally and the firm are situated close to public transport links.
