Commercial Accountant (Part Qualified) | Newark (Hybrid working – 1-2 days per week in the office) | £35,000 - £40,000 + bonus, study support, pension, healthcare)

The Opportunity

If you are a CIMA / ACCA studying Assistant Management Accountant looking to step across into a fully fledged Commercial Accounting role we would welcome the chance to speak. £35,000 - £40,000 + suite of benefits including study package.

The focus of this role is customer and product activities – lots of interaction with commercial managers and directors in a business facing role.  You can really add value here and challenge the status quo through insightful analysis, reporting and discussion. 

Your remit will include; digging into pricing, promotional analysis and evaluation, supporting new tenders, post launch reviews, margin tracking and improvement....

You'll love reviewing and discussing: what are the customers up to, what are they buying, what does it need to be priced at and what is impacting margin and profit streams...

You need solid core accounting skills and great Excel but the key to success is a real interest in the commercial side and a brilliant ability to build relationships & communicate confidently.

One for an up and comer - major scope to progress (this role is a result of 2 internal promotions). Hybrid working - ideally 1-2 days per week in Newark.

Required:

• Studying toward a recognised Accounting qualification (CIMA or ACCA)
• A background of core accounting / analysis (experience of commercial analysis / P&L review etc).
• Great Excel skills.
• An awesome attitude!  You will be working closely with colleagues across fast-paced and decisive commercial functions of the business.  You’ll be someone who can build great relationships and communicate with confidence and openness.
