Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing the Group’s external financial reporting cycle, including the Group's Annual Report and Accounts processes, ensuring clear and accurate information is reported to key deadlines. Additionally, you will be managing the production of financial statements for approximately 15 non-operational subsidiaries. You will also be managing the Group’s internal monthlyP&Lreporting processes, including head office P&L reporting/budgeting.

Strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel/Word are a must.

Duties and responsibilities

Monthly financial reporting processes

•Participating in the timely, accurate and compliant delivery of the monthly P&Lreporting

•Providing variance analysis against budgets

•Ad-hoc reporting as required (i.e. ROICanalysis)

Annual financial reporting processes

•Coordinate the smooth-running external audit process ensuring overall reporting deadlines are met with minimal audit issues

•Assist with the production of the financial statement disclosures for the Group under IFRS(including the shaping and external messaging of the Group’s front-end disclosures)

•Oversee the Group consolidation process, including single and multi-currency consolidations

•Productionof the subsidiary entities financial statements under IFRS/FRS101

•Liaison with operating companies and compilation of group budget pack

Ad-hoc

•Assist in the on-boarding process of any acquisitions/off-boarding of any disposals

•Provision of ad-hoc support and project work•Identification and resolution of IFRS technical accounting issues(including the adoption of any new standards)and interpretation of circumstances to determine recommendations

You must be a qualified ACA or ACCA with strong technical experience working with IFRS accounting standards. You could be seeking your first move from an audit role into a financial reporting position or be someone already working within a group financial reporting role and seeking a step up in their career. You should be self-motivated and well-organised. The job will require close liaison with and sometimes chasing up of senior managers within the Group. A professional, diplomatic and friendly but firm approach is required. Attention to detail and respect for deadlines are key attributes. The role would suit an experienced and ACA/ACCA (or overseas equivalent, such as CPA), Qualified person.
